So, I’ve been keeping myself busy even though I still haven’t found a good art team to join full time.  I’ve been doing a few freelance jobs, most recently for a company called Inhale Digital, they make apps for Android devices.  I was only there for a little under three months, but they seemed to really like my work, so maybe they’ll be calling again soon :)

I’ve also been keeping busy by doing some volunteer graphic design work for my local library (making flyers and posters for events, designing layouts for information packets, etc), and starting up my very own crafting blog!  It’s not very impressive, at least not yet, but I’m having fun with it and I can’t wait to come up with some new projects to post.  Check it out here!

Also been keeping up with my Japanese class.  I’m in Beginning Level 3 now, and let me tell you, it is getting DIFFICULT!  But I’m going to stick with it, of course!  ^_^

The social game company I was working for, Ohai, got bought out last week!  So my last day was on Friday.  I really liked working at Ohai, I had fun making art for our game Unicorn Parade and our team was awesome!  So I’m a little bummed :( 

But  all good things come to an end I suppose, and now I have to find a new awesome art team to join!  So I’m on the lookout!  Let me know if you know of a good company who’s looking for artists :)

I’ve got my Tumblr set up PRETTY much how I want it to be, I know there are a few things that could be better, but considering I did this by myself and I had no idea what I was doing, I’d say I did a pretty good job!

I even got it all set up on my personal domain, so when you go to LaurenGoBoom.com, my new Tumblr portfolio will appear!  Fancy stuff, huh?  The best part is that now I have a more organized and clean looking way to showcase my art, so go check it out!  :D

Umm, so I’m trying to set up this whole Tumblr thing.  Because I need a new online portfolio to show off my art stuffs.  I’ve never used Tumblr before, and I’m pretty web retarded, so this is very confusing for me. 

I think I’m beginning to figure it out though.  Maybe.
